Hawzah News Agency (Najaf, Iraq) – A delegation from London, UK met with Grand Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi, a source of emulation, in the holy city of Najaf on Sunday, April 16.

During the meeting, the Shia scholar elaborated on the original characteristics of Islam as the religion of peace and friendship and said, “Genuine Islam, the one that was promoted by Ahlulbayt (as), invites mankind to worship Allah, to show mercy and affection towards one another and to promote brotherhood and peaceful coexistence among people.”

Ayatollah al-Najafi further reiterated, “We all must follow on the path of Prophet Muhammad (sawa) and his moral virtues which were characterized by Ahlulbayt (as) in order to present genuine Islam in a bright and positive light.”

“The Islamic seminary of Najaf will continue its mission to promote genuine Islamic thought which has been passed on to us through Ahlulbayt’s (as) teachings. The doors of Najaf seminary are open to all those enthusiasts who wish to familiarize with genuine Islam and its principles.” Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi concluded.
